Indian stock markets end flat (Lead)

Mumbai, April 24 (IANS) The Indian equities market ended flat Thursday, with a benchmark index registering marginal gains. The 30-share Sensitive Index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 16,796.26 points, touched a high of 16,844.02 and closed at 16,721.08 points. It went up by 23.04 points at the day’s close or 0.14 percent over the previous day’s closing.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) S&P Nifty, which opened at 5,022.90 points, closed at 4,999.85 points. It went down by 22.95 points or 0.46 percent.
