Japan, Pakistan to further strengthen trade ties: Zardari
May 4th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: BusinessISLAMABAD: PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said that Japan has given assurance to Pakistan for further strengthening of existing trade ties between the two countries.
Zardari was talking to media after meeting with Foreign Minister of Japan Masahiko Komura here.
Terming the meeting very positive, he said Japan has decided to extend more assistance to Pakistan in the fields of health, education and infrastructure development.
He said Japan was an old friend and reliable trade partner.
During the last tenure of Benazir Bhutto, Japan had awarded loan for opening up of educational channel in the country, which now would be revived, he added.
Commenting on judges issue, Zardari said he has harmony with PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif on all issues including reinstatement of judges, state TV reported. APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2008
