Indian national freed from Malaysian jail

Kuala Lumpur, April 5 (IANS) An Indian national was released Sunday morning from detention while two leaders of a banned Hindu body were among 13 Internal Security Act (ISA) detainees in Malaysia who are to be freed later in the day.

Sundaraj Vijay, the Indian national who was found with forged travel documents, boarded a vehicle to leave the Kamuntin Detention Centre in Perak state, Star Online said.

New Delhi, April 5 (IANS) The Election Commission Sunday conveyed its “strong disapproval” of the unsavoury remarks by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in his election speech targetting Mainpuri District Magistrate Ministhy Dileep.

“The Election Commission conveys its strong disapproval of the manner in which Mulayam Singh Yadav made his speech at Mainpuri on March 23 and advises him to be more cautious in future,” the poll panel said in a statement here.
