    New Delhi, May 21 (IANS) “Tum Mile” is a love story set in the midst of the 2005 Mumbai floods, but director Kunal Deshmukh says the Emraan Hashmi-Soha Ali Khan starrer is in no way a tribute to the victims. It is rather an attempt to question the laxity of city authorities.


    Four arrested for ’spying’ for India: Report

    Lahore, May 20 (IANS) Four men suspected of “spying” for India have been arrested here, a media report Tuesday said.

    They have been identified as Khalid, Abid, Karamat and Khizar. Their nationalities have, however, not been revealed.

New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) India is concerned about the Tamil civilians in Sri Lanka and wants that their “legitimate aspirations” should be addressed, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said Tuesday.

Mukherjee said he had held several rounds of talks with President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the Sri Lankan Tamil issue. He also said that Rajapaksa had confirmed to him about the killing of Tamil Tigers chief V. Prabhakaran.

New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) After the Congress-Trinamool alliance’s body blow to West Bengal’s ruling Left in the hustings, Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday said that Trinamool Congress supreme Mamata Banerjee could be the next chief minister of the state.

In an interview to NDTV news channel, Mukherjee, the West Bengal state Congress president, said it was possible that Banerjee would emerge as the next head of the state after the electoral rout of the Left after three decades.
