    Pakistan received record migrant remittances in 2007:WB

    WASHINGTON, March 20 (APP): Pakistan received 6.1 $ billion in  remittances in 2007, recording an increase of almost one billion dollars from the preceding year, according to the World Bank’s new Migration and Remittances Factbook 2008, released Wednesday.


    Oil hits new high of 112 dollars

    SINGAPORE: Oil soared to new highs of 112 dollars in Asian trading Monday as the US currency slumped to a fresh low against the euro, sparking a rush of funds into commodities including crude, dealers said.
    The contract closed Friday during floor trading at the New York Mercantile Exchange at 110.21 dollars a barrel.

July-February trade deficit soars to $12.43 billion
