16 killed, 30 injured as Israeli armed forces storm Gaza aid ships

Jerusalem, May 31(ANI): At least 16 people have been killed and 30 injured after Israeli troops stormed a convoy of six ships carrying activists and aid supplies to the blockaded Palestinian enclave of Gaza.
According to reports, the confrontation took place in international waters 80 miles off the Gaza coast when armed forces boarded the vessels overnight and clashed with some of the 600 protesters on board.

Government, apex court headed for confrontation on Zardari

Islamabad, May 22 (IANS) The Pakistani government and the Supreme Court seemed headed for a major confrontation on reopening a graft case against President Asif Ali Zardari and a statute amendment that has created a commission for the appointment of superior court judges.

At a strategy dinner here Friday night, the government decided to tell the court that a $60 million Swiss graft case against Zardari could not be reopened as he enjoys presidential immunity.

Sole survivor of Libya air crash leaves for home

Tripoli, May 15 (IANS) Nine-year-old Ruben van Assouw from the Netherlands, who miraculously survived a plane crash in Libya that killed all other 103 people on board, left Tripoli for home Saturday, an official report said.

Ruben left Libya after his health became stable, official Libyan news agency Jana said Saturday.

In the first two days of the six-month event, the “Expo Passport” has become popular among hundreds of thousands of Expo visitors, who hope to take home a special souvenir.
