ISLAMABAD: Military Spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said that, the Indian Army fired two mortars and small arms on a Pakistani post-Battal Rawalakot. He said that Pakistan army returned fire with mortars and small arms.

DUBAI: Pakistan Premier, Yousuf Raza Gilani came to Dubai after attending D-8 Summit in Malaysia.

PPP Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, has welcomed the Prime Minister here at the airport in Dubai.

Jamia Hafsa resumes classes as Lal Masjid operation completes one year

ISLAMABAD: Students started again their studies at the debris of the Jamia Hafsa on completion of one year of the Lal Masjid operation.

Former MNA Abdul Aziz, MPA NWFP Mufti Kifayatullah, khateeb Lal Masjid Mufti Maulana Abdul Ghaffar, Umme Hassan and others were present there when 40 female students of Jamia Hafsa began their studies while sitting on debris.



Series of blasts rock Karachi: two killed, many injured

KARACHI : Five blasts in various areas of Karachi killed two people and injured at least 30 people on Monday evening.

In Orangi Town area of Kasba, a bomb blew up, which injured several people. Of these critically injured, two succumbed to injuries and passed away.

In Orangi Town area of Banars Chowk, two relatively smaller bomb blasts took place in which at least 23 people were injured.



Suicide blast kills 19 including nine policemen in Islamabad

A suicide blast near Melody Chowk area has left 19 people dead including 9 policemen and over 40 have been injured.

The IG Islamabad termed it as a suicide attack, Police has cordoned off entire area, according to Geo News correspondent, the blast occurred in front of Aabpara police station. Body parts were scattered in the area and ambulances reached the site of the blast.
