    Shahbaz takes oath as 21st Punjab chief minister today

    LAHORE : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Shahbaz Sharif is all set to take oath as the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab in a ceremony being held here at Governors House today (Sunday). The Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer will administer the oath. It would be the second term of Shahbaz Sharif as Punjab Chief Minister.


    “I wont resign in current situation” Musharraf

    ISLAMABAD : President Pervez Musharraf said that he will not resign in current situation and will not use article 58-2b to dissolve the parliament. He said this while talking to the senior journalists here on Saturday.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Government on Friday submitted to the United Nations a formal request for investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, local TV reported. Pakistan’s U.N. Ambassador Munir Akram met with Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and submitted the request, said Pakistan’s private Dawn TV channel. Bhutto, also former leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP),was killed in a gun and bomb attack last December while attending a political rally.
