    Wapda suspended power supply to KESC as warning for 35bn arrears and resumed after few hrs.

    ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) on Thursday has suspended power supply to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), due to arrears over Rs 35 billion, the sources said.
    Wapda has suspended power supply to KESC after approval of the federal government, the sources added.


    PPP named Qaim Ali Shah for the position of Sindh CM

    KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Monday named Qaim Ali Shah for Chief Minister of Sindh, Nisar Khuhro Speaker Sindh Assembly and Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq Parliamentary Leader in the Assembly.
    The above decision was taken in a meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee held under the chairmanship of Co-chairman PPP, Asif Ali Zardari here at Bilawal House.
