Russell Crowe to play Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes’ film

London, Sep 1 (IANS) Hollywood actor Russell Crowe is set to play Sherlock Holmes’ sidekick Dr. Watson in Guy Ritchie’s new film.

Crowe is lined up to star opposite Robert Downey Jr. as the legendary fictional sleuth’s confidant and storyteller in the forthcoming film, reports Hollywood.com.

‘Russell wants the part, Guy wants Russell,’ a source told British newspaper The Sun.
