RIM is really taking some bold steps in order make its competitors feel insecure. Now 360 Tour of the band U2.com has been sponsored by RIM BlackBerry as the U2 officially announced it last week.

According to the band manager Paul McGuinness “marks the first stage of a relationship and shared vision between RIM and U2 that we expect will lead to new and innovative ways to enhance the mobile music experience on the BlackBerry platform for U2 fans. We look forward to sharing more details as the relationship unfolds.”

This BlackBerry sponsored tour will be full of entertainment. The program includes Glasvegas, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol and Black Eyed Peas. This announcement has ended a durable relationship of U2 and Apple Inc. one of RIM’s biggest competitor. The success of U2 and Apple Inc. could be imagined by the inclusion of U2-branded device in Apple’s lineup.
