New Delhi, Nov 5 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Thursday stayed a planned narco-analysis test on Communist Party of India-Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy till Dec 14.
Justice Indermeet Kaur said the narco-analysis test would not be conducted, at least till Dec 14, the next date of hearing.
Arguing Ghandy’s case his lawyer Rebecca M. John said: “Consent should be taken from the person who is to undergo narco test, which is not taken in the case. I am afraid that my client can be taken for narco anytime. He should be saved from that.”
Ghandy had filed an appeal Wednesday challenging the Oct 21 order of a lower court that he undergo a narco test.
Ghandy was arrested Sep 21 and is in judicial custody.
