Pakistan Parliament can summon Musharraf on war on terror: Govt Spokesman

In an interview with a private television channel, he said Pakistan People Party (PPP) supports the statement of PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif as Parliament is a supreme and sovereign institution and has the power to summon Pervez Musharraf.
“Musharraf will tell the Parliament how many citizens were arrested and sent to foreign countries during his tenure”, Farhatullah Babar said.
Supporting the statement of Nawaz Sharif about rest of responsibility on Musharraf for spreading terrorism in the country specially in tribal areas, Farhatullah Babar said Musharraf will give accountable.
He said parliament is a sovereign institution and has the authority to summon former President Pervez Musharraf.
The PPP spokesman said government is implementing on a three prong strategy to eliminate terrorism through dialogue, development and is using force as last resort. He said government is ready to talk with those who lay arms.
