Peerzada denies hatching conspiracies against democracy
May 8th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: Focused, PakistanISLAMABAD : Constitutional expert Syed Sharifuddin Peerzada on Thursday castigated a section of media for publishing baseless and malicious news stories alleging that he (Peerzada) was hatching conspiracies against democracy.
“Malicious gossip is going on.I was not even in the town (Islamabad) when many things were published by a section of press. I came here Wednesday, appeared in the court publicly and on Thursday I am also in the court in connection with some cases, Peerzada told private news channel.
Responding to a question he said he did not hold any meeting with President Pervez Musharraf. However he used to meet with Attorney General Malik Muhammad Qayyum and Abdul Hafeez Peerzada as being lawyers every day we appeared in courts together.
“At night I and Qayyum dined together and also we take lunch together often.” he said. APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2008
