By-polls nomination papers could be submitted until May 13
May 10th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: Focused, PakistanISLAMABAD : Nomination papers for the by-elections on 38 national and provincial assemblies seats could be submitted until Tuesday, May 13, while polling will be held in these constituencies on June 26.
Election Commission said that nomination papers could be filed by Tuesday, May 13, scrutiny of papers would be done from May 14 to May 20, while objections against acceptance/rejection of nomination papers could be filed until May 24.
The Tribunal would announce its decisions on candidates’ objections by May 31, nominated candidates could take back their papers by June 2, final list of the candidates would be published on the same day and polling would be held on June 26.
Election Commission, terming the May 6 filed nomination papers by the candidates invalid, asked them to file again their nomination papers by May 13. Aaj TV, 2008
