PML-N leadership committed to restoring judiciary: Khosa
May 12th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: PakistanLAHORE : Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa has said that Muslim League leadership is committed to the mission of ensuring freedom of judiciary and reinstatement of judges.
He was addressing a reception in D.G. Khan, on Monday. Chief Minister said that no one can carry out unlawful activities if judiciary is free. He said that as maladministration, economic and social problems are the causes of lawlessness and social evils so are the hurdles in the free working of judiciary.
He said that administration remains within law and constitution in the presence of a free judiciary, Khosa expressed the resolve that Muslim League will restore 1973 constitution in its true form and spirit for the supremacy of law and peace and progress in the country.
President Muslim League-N Punjab, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, MNA from Bahawalpur Saud Majeed, Sardar Hassam-ud-Din Khan Khosa, local administration as well as large number of traders teachers and lawyers were present on the occasion.
Later, addressing a function to give away cheques of financial assistance of Rs seven hundred thirty- five thousand to 49 skilled women on behalf of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal at Circuit House, the Chief Minister said that government is striving for economic self- reliance of women by imparting them education and various skills.
He said that the number of vocational institutions for women is low in Southern Punjab which will be increased and the proportion of health and educational facilities in the region will also be raised. APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2008
