PPP co-chairman vows to restore judges in accordance with Murree Declaration

ISLAMABAD : PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has said that there is disagreement only on one point with Nawaz Sharif on the restoration of judges.
Reiterating his stance, he said the deposed judges will be restored through a resolution in accordance with Murree Declaration and committed to change the system.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he said PPP wants to restore the judiciary through a resolution which will be presented at a joint session of the Parliament.
“I talk about reconciliation and two wrong will not make one right and if the judges are restored through a notification and police according to the wish of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, there will be a constitutional crisis, the sitting Judges can issue the stay order and he does not want to disturb the sitting judgesâ€ÂÂÂ, he said.
Zardari said talks are still going-on on issue of judges with PML-N and trying to bring back PML-N in the government.
He said we will continue to support Nawaz in the Punjab Assembly, there is no danger to Punjab Government and we are not bringing no-confidence.
He said under the COD, no future judge could take oath under PCO and if a judge validates the dictatorship, he will have to face the punishment.
To a question about non-persuasion of Nawaz Sharif., he said it is his mistake that he could not persuade him. He said he is trying to bring back Mian Nawaz Sharif in the government. He said we are in full agreement to Bhurban declaration.
Regarding morale of the party by not restoring the judges according to Murree declaration and not meeting the deadline, he said we are paying the political price.
Zardari said the movement regarding restoration of judges was initiated by PPP and the party workers rendered much more sacrifices.
The PPP Co-Chairperson said that the revenge of martyrdom of Benazir will be taken through change of system.
Regarding relief to the people, Zardari said the government is taking concrete measures to provide relief to the people.
He said we are working on a formula to overcome the load shedding by 90 percent in a year. He aid water and electricity is basic requirement.
Answering to a question about Balochistan, the PPP Co-Chairperson said we have adopted the course of dialogue. NNI (News Network International), 2008
