Martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto international commission by UN will have strong backing of India. Mr. Advani who had close contact with Benazir and always spoke in Sindhi used to call her Pinky. All Sindhis in India and abroad liked Benazir very much. It is said that her aim was to unite Sindhis all over the world. India will also back the UN commission of enquiry. It is this united front that is being opposed by Jehadis with ISI who oppose any dialogue. Syria is talking to Israel, Egypt, Morocco and Turkey has fully fledged diplomatic relations with Israel. These Jehadis want to take us back to the 12th century and want us even to forget about Sindh civilisation of Mohan and Harapa Jo Daro. We Sindhis have to make sure we do not fall into their trap. Sindhis have now economic and political influence in India and with the help of Mr. Advani and other influential people it will soon be possible to Invite Sindhis for jobs and business partnerships in trade and industry. As a matter of fact there are some Sindhis from Pakistan we know are already teaching Sindhi language as there is shortage of Sindhi teachers. Sindhi students will be given scholarships in Indian universities. We are also hoping that there will be chamber of Sindhi commerce in India and Pakistan. The countries borders should not prevent people to people contact is the theme of the CBM dialogue. However the time is short to pass on the Sindhi culture and history to our future generation. Benazir respected all religions and as a matter of fact (Benazir’s grandmother) Khursheed Begum nee Lakhi Bai, was a Hindu from Gujarat who had converted to Islam.
