Baitullah Mehsud denies his involvement in Benazir assassination, abduction of Pakistan envoy

We have not martyred Benazir Bhutto. If we have killed her, who had slain her father and brothers? Mehsud asked in conversation with local and international media from an unspecified place in South Waziristan.
The government if got any evidence about the incident it should produce those facts, he said. He however was of the view that the government have no proofs and it was extracting statements from the arrested persons by exerting pressure.
He also denied kidnapping Pakistani ambassador in Afghanistan Tariq Azizuddin adding that another group of Taliban had abducted the envoy and his group secured release of the ambassador. Aaj TV, 2008
