Limit on Chief Justice’s tenure not acceptable: Aitezaz Ahsan
May 24th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: PakistanISLAMABAD: President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Aitezaz Ahsan Saturday said any curtailment in the tenure of chief justice will not be acceptable.
Talking to media outside Zardari House after PPP’s Central Executive Committee meeting, he said the lawyers’ community will not accept these proposals regarding the judges if presented before the Parliament in their present shape.
He said the proposals contained in the constitutional package are only suggestions and there exist enough room for making amendments in these.Aitezaz Ahsan reiterated that long march by lawyers’ community will certainly be held on June 10 and the lawyers will march towards Islamabad from Multan. geo tv
