President Musharraf says no differences with Army Chief
May 30th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: Focused, PakistanISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf Thursday said some elements want to see differences between him and Army Chief.Addressing a dinner reception hosted by him in the honour of former governor Punjab Khalid Maqbool, the President said rumours being spread in the country are baseless. Purpose of these rumours is to spread confusion in the country, he added.He said his meeting with army chief was a routine matter.
We have met six times earlier too, President Musharraf said, adding those elements who are doing this job, do not want to see the country progress.
Some people are also spreading rumours about my stepping down which are again not true and are meant to create uncertainty, he said, adding, this is having negative impact on the country’s economy. geo tv
