Lawyers will continue their struggle for independence of Judiciary: Justice Iftikhar

ATTOCK: Deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that lawyers will not bow down to any one and will continue their struggle for independence of Judiciary and no one can divide lawyers. He praised unity of lawyers adding that neverbefore in history of Pakisan had lawyers had such unity.
He said the lawyer’s movement, which started 14 months back, has reached close to victory. The movement has no other aim but rule of law and supremacy of constitution.
He was talking to Attock Bar Association here on Saturday, while addressing to a large number of lawyers he said “The journey which lawyers started on March 9, 2007 to be continue and now we will see the strength of our rivals.â€
He further said that the lawyers’ movement will now follow Quaid Azam’s Golden principle of Unity, Faith and Discipline, which will help in achieving their target of restoring supremacy of law and constitution in the country.
