PML-Q decides to protect Musharraf

Jun 1st, 2008 | By Khuram Khan | Category: Pakistan

The PML-Q has decided to counter the ruling coalition’s attacks on Pervez Musharraf. It proposes to tell the people that the PPP and the PML-N are raising various issues to deflect attention from their inability to impeach Musharraf and reinstate the deposed judges.

The party has also announced that it will show its strength in the Senate, which is starting its session on June 4, to demonstrate that the ruling coalition does not have sufficient support in the upper house and, therefore, will not be able to get any constitutional amendment adopted.

The PML-Q thinks a movement for the reinstatement of deposed judges cannot bring down the prices or rid the country of shortages of power, flour and other items. (Dawn/ANI/Agencies)
