Motorcycle bomb kills girl, injures 13 in Quetta: police

QUETTA : A bomb attached to a motorcycle exploded at a crowded market in Quetta on Friday, killing a minor girl and injuring 13 others, police said.
The blast at the busy Mannan Chowk also injured four policemen, one of them seriously, as well as nine other people, police official Raja Ishtiaq told AFP.
“The blast killed an eight-year-old girl and injured her beggar mother who were sitting near the motorcycle parked by some unknown man,” another police official Abdul Ghafoor said, adding that no group had claimed responsibility for the attack. AFP (Agence France-Presse), 2008
