9 soldiers including 41 killed in Pakistan

QUETTA: At least 41 people including 33 militants, nine Frontier Corps men and a Pakistan Petroleum Limited-PPL engineer were killed and many injured, some of them seriously, during armed clash between security forces and militants in Dera Bugti on Sunday, FC sources told this news agency.
Security forces arrested nine injured militants and recovered huge cache of arms from their possessions. The injured militants have been shifted to Quetta for treatment and subsequent interrogation.Besides, FC personnel have also arrested over two dozens armed men and seized ammunitions from their possessions.
Sources in the area said that exchange of fire continued in intervals between security forces and armed men throughout the day on Sunday.
Fierce clashes started between security forces and armed men in Uch area of Dera Bugti on Saturday night which continued on Sunday. app
