Justice Rana BhagwandasLAHORE: Justice (Retd.) Rana Bhagwandas Friday said the steps taken from November 3, 2007 onwards were planned with the help and assurance of certain lawyers.

Addressing General House of Lahore Bar, he said November 3 steps were taken with an aim to strangulate judiciary and media and termed the same as unconstitutional, illegal, immoral and based on ill-intention.

“The prime objective of these steps was to send the then judges home,” Rana Bhagwandas said. (geo)

  1. We Sindhis are glad that the Judge Rana Bhagwandas is back even as retired judge. His integrity, no political involvement and impartial views should be honoured and utilised by the government. He has a lot of respect in Europe and also in India, not for he is a hindu but he is a man of high principles, believes that if you got Rome do as Romans do. He will also be an excellent example of tolerance to what we Sindhis are and have been, very moderate.
