PIA raises fuel surcharge in fares

KARACHI (GEO): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) increase the fuel surcharge owing to the soaring prices of the oil in international market, after which the PIA fares also have gone up.

PIA has increased $40 at one-side ticket for US and Canada under fuel Surcharge head, for other European countries including Britain $20 and $10 have been increased for Middle East, India and Far East countries.

However, no addition was made on ticket for umrah.

Besides, Rs150 to 300 have been added up to the one-side tickets for domestic flights.

Meantime, the private airliner AirBlue has announced to change the business class into economy class in all its domestic and international flights to cope with the problem of surging oil prices.
