Nawaz, Zardari discuss draft parliamentary resolution for reinstatement of deposed judges

ISLAMABAD, Apr 21 (APP): A crucial meeting between Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif held a lengthy meeting at the Punjab House here Monday without finalizing a draft parliamentary resolution for the restoration of the deposed judges.Talking to media persons after the meeting, PML-N spokesman Siddiq ul Farooq said the discussions between the heads of two political parties lasted three and a half hours.

Asif Ali Zardari & Nawaz SharifHe said the leaders decided to meeting again on Tuesday to finalize the draft for the restoration of pre-emergency status of the judiciary.

Siddiq ul Farooq said that the deposed judges would be restored in accordance with the Murree Declaration signed by Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari on March 9.

The PML-N Chief was assisted by Shahbaz Sharif, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Ahsan Iqbal, Khwaja Muhammad Asif and Iqbal Zafar Jhagra while PPP Co-chairman Asif Zardari was accompanied by Sherry Rahman, Khursheed Ahmed Shah and Farooq H. Naek, the spokesman said.
