PPP named Qaim Ali Shah for the position of Sindh CM

Qaim Ali ShahKARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Monday named Qaim Ali Shah for Chief Minister of Sindh, Nisar Khuhro Speaker Sindh Assembly and Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq Parliamentary Leader in the Assembly.

The above decision was taken in a meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee held under the chairmanship of Co-chairman PPP, Asif Ali Zardari here at Bilawal House.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Asif Zardari said the party is in the process of consultations for making important decisions in connection with the formation of next government. “We are trying our best not to leave room for any complaints by the rivals.”

“We have attained democracy after a long struggle and we will take all the friends along in this journey,” he said.

Co-chairman PPP said Parliament will be strengthened and his party will play its role with due responsibility in the assemblies.

He told the journalists that the upcoming parliament will request the United Nations for conducting investigations into the assassination of Ms Benazir Bhutto while probe will also be undertaken into the hanging of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
