Javed Hashmi opposes PPP-MQM coalition in Sindh
May 1st, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: Focused, SindhMULTAN: Central Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-N and member National Assembly, Javed Hashmi has urged Co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari to fulfill the pledges he made in the Murree Declaration and not to be afraid of the establishment, foreign powers and Generals.
Talking to newsmen here Thursday he also opposed the coalition with MQM in Sindh and said that it would sadden the Party workers in Sindh.
Commenting on the Qazi Husssain Ahmed`s call to observe May 12 as black day, he said that it was the blackest day of the Pakistan`s history when innocent people were killed to terrify the democratic forces.
Javed Hashmi said the decisions of the country would now be taken by parliament and not by the US, GHQ and Aiwan-e-Sadr.
He appealed to allied parties to restore the judiciary and warned that if it did not happen, not only the federation, democracy and judiciary would be in danger but also there would be no future of the 1973 Constitution.
Expressing his optimism on the talks between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai, Javed Hashmi said: The present situation is crucial and we have to take every step carefully. PPI (Pakistan Press International), 2008
