Mumtaz sees no difference in PPP, Q-League
May 5th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: Focused, SindhKarachi—Sindh National Front (SNF) chairman Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has said that there was no difference between last government of PML-Q and the present government of PPP, as both had failed in giving any relief to poor people.
This he said on Sunday while addressing a delegation of Jamiat-e- Ulema Islam Pakistan (JUI) led by its central joint secretary-general Qari Sher Afzal Khan, which called on him at his residence. Criticizing the present rulers for hoodwinking people with fake promises, he said that instead of fulfilling their promises, the present rulers were bent to deprive common man even of two-time meals.
Mumtaz Bhutto further said that with the increase in prices of petroleum products and daily-use commodities, the new government had unveiled it true face before the people. “Greedy politician have made the politics in Pakistan a moneymaking business instead of serving people,†he added.
He said that once again Sindh had been handed over to same terrorists, killers and thieves who had usurped the rights of the Sindhi people in past. He said that instead of making these criminal elements accountable of their past misdeeds, they had been given a free hand for more loot and plunder, which was an injustice to the mandate of people of Sindh. He said that the people of Sindh should forge unity amongst their ranks and files to foil the evil designs of these terrorists.—PPI
