Hearing of Zardari container case put off till May 13
May 9th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: SindhKARACHI : Justice Bin Yamin Khan of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Friday put off hearing of two revision applications, filed by PPP co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari and former HBFC chairman Hussain Haqqani respectively, till May 13.
One of these was put off after hearing arguments of advocate Mian Khan Malik,counsel for co-accused Wajid Shamsul Hasan in Contained case.
The case pertains to alleged smuggling of seven huge wooden boxes containing artefacts and other precious items for Surrey Palace allegedly owned by Asif Ali Zardari.
The same bench also put off hearing of a criminal revision application filed by former Chairman HBFC booked in an alleged misappropriation case.
Mr. Haqqani was alleged of allowing a deposit of rupees 10 million with a little known “Asset Bank”. Adnan A Karim advocate, counsel for applicant prayed to the court to hear him but matter was adjourned till May 13 due to paucity of time. APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2008
