KARACHI, April 2 : Co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain Wednesday evening announced to begin a new era of brotherhood and love in the province. Addressing a press conference after a meeting between MQM and PPP at Nine Zero, MQM headquarter here both the leaders said they forgive each other and begin a new era.

Altaf Hussain was addressing from London by telephone while Asif Zardari joined him at Nine Zero.

Both the leaders said that anti-Pakistan elements had tried in the past to pitch MQM and PPP.

Altaf Hussain said none of lot of blood has been shed and there will be no more fight between these two parties.

He appreciated Asif Ali Zardari for visiting MQM headquarter and offering Fateha at the graveyard of MQM martyrs and said that he has requested Asif Ali Zardari that MQM delegation wanted to visit Garhi Khuda Baksh to offer Fateha at the graves of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Ms Benazir Bhutto and her brothers.

He said that with this goodwill gesture PPP and MQM will launch a joint struggle for the prosperity and stability of Pakistan and Sindh.

He said that PPP and MQM will face the evil designs of anti-Pakistan elements and added that Pakistan is passing through a difficult period and there is a need for national consensus.

Altaf also appreciated the efforts of Rehman Malik, Advisor on Interior, for playing an important role in reconciliation between PPP and MQM.

Altaf Hussain said he wanted to eliminate the difference between urban and rural Sindh.

Speaking on the occasion Asif Ali Zardari said that after this reconciliation between PPP and MQM nobody will be able to create differences between these two parties.

He said he has come to Nine Zero to launch a new era of brotherhood and love, and dump hatred.

Asif said that he has also forgiven the enemies and even those who pitched MQM against PPP.

He said that if anti-Pakistan elements can break Pakistan we know the art of binding it.

He appealed to those elements to spare the country and “do not divide” the people.

Asif Zardari said that he does not want to take revenge and instead wanted to change the system.

Holding the hand of Dr. Farooq Sattar in his hand Asif Zardari said that this is the beginning of friendship and understanding.

He said that he knows the art of making friends and this friendship will last. He said that this friendship will be for Pakistan, for Bilawal, for Hafsa (Altaf’s daughter), so that nobody can make them fight against each other.

He said when Bilawal, Hafsa and Bakhtawar will stand together nobody will be able to make them fight.

Zardari said “ I see a brighter Pakistan, developed Pakistan, if we stand united.”

He said we have lost enough in the past due to differences and hatred. This time we will save Pakistan.

On the occasion MQM’s Dr. Farooq Sattar and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari exchanged Sindhi caps.

The meeting lasted for one hour and 15 minutes.
