PPP supporters attack Arbab
Apr 5th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: SindhKARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim had to flee from the provincial assembly without taking oath when a group of Pakistan People’s Party activists attacked him on Saturday. Highly-charged PPP ‘jiyaley’ started booing and jeering at the PML-Q leader as he entered the assembly building for attending the opening session.
People’s Party activists chanted abusive slogans against the former CM and chased him out until he crossed the lobby exit. PPP supporters broke down the lobby-door to get hold of the former CM. Charged supporters also roughed up a security guard who tried to rescue Arbab.
To provide safe exit to the terrified and shivering former CM, the assembly secretariat had to call security personnel from the Governor House. The attackers besides hurling humiliating remarks also accused Arbab of assassinating Benazir Bhutto.
It is learnt that Dr Arbab has contacted the top PML-Q leadership and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan to intimate them about this incident. Monitoring Desk adds: Former Chief Minister of Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim has submitted an application to the government of Sindh to provide him appropriate security, a private TV channel reported.
Arbab Rahim in his application said that he is the former chief minister of Sindh and he has been given death threat from his opponents therefore he needs reasonable security.

whatever happened to arbab, it was well deserved by this bloodshot guy! he has absolutely no place in pakistani politics! let alone Sindh Assembly.
Long live Pakistan.
