IG Sindh orders to remove encroachments

KARACHI: Police officers should remove encroachments in their respective areas and traffic policemen should report to their respective DIGs about encroachments and work with the police to remove them, IG Sindh Dr Shoaib Suddle said Saturday while presiding over a meeting at the Central Police Office Karachi to improve the traffic system. CCPO Karachi Sultan Salahuddin, Babar Khattak, the DIG Traffic and other senior police officers were also present.

The Suddle also ordered the traffic police to set up proper traffic signs to facilitate the public. DIG Traffic Wajid Ali Khan Durrani gave a briefing about the situation in the city and suggested that the major reasons for the worsening traffic conditions were encroachments and designated parking places.

The PPO has also ordered his officers to implement the ban on aerial firing and public brandishing of weapons.
