KARACHI: A young jobless man was arrested from the premises of the Sindh Assembly building on Tuesday when he tried to jump over the chief minister’s car to request for a job.
The CM’s security staff and the police deployed at the assembly panicked at the situation and caught the young man. He was identified as Qabool Muhammad. He belonged to Khairpur, Shah’s hometown. No weapon was recovered from him. He has, however, been detained by the police.
The panic inside the premises of the assembly was created after Emergency 15 received information that four armed men in a car were moving towards the Sindh Assembly with a motive to attack. After receiving this information, security was tightened in and around the assembly. Later, the police received information that the armed suspects had dropped the car at Gizri and were going towards the assembly on motorcycles.
Meanwhile, another call was received that one suspect carrying a hand grenade entered the assembly but the security officials searched and cleared the building.
When Shah came out from his chamber, a young man suddenly rushed towards his car but was caught by the police. He told journalists that he wanted to meet with the CM to hand over an application for a job. Muhammad informed that he approached the private secretary of a minister who belonged to his village. The latter arranged a gate pass for him. The News
