Efforts afoot for rule of law, justice, democratic system: Sindh CM
Jun 29th, 2008 | By Sindh Today | Category: Focused, SindhKARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that the government was endeavoring for the rule of law, justice and safeguarding the democratic system for which the lawyers should lend their helping hands to the government.
Talking to a delegation of Malir Bar Association (MBA) here, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the present government was the protector of democratic system. Pakistan People’s Party has achieved the people’s rule after long struggle.
He said that the government would encourage legal activities providing quick justice and the struggle would continue until the full restoration of 1973 Constitution.The chief minister gave a cheque of Rs1 million to the MBA president, Amanullah Yusufzai on behalf of the Sindh government.
Senior Provincial Minister, Pir Mazharul Huque and Law Minister, Ayaz Soomro was also present on this occasion. MBA delegation thanked the chief minister and said that the members of the Bar would extend all support to the existing democratic government for the rule of law. geo tv
