Aug 20th, 2008 - 10:50 am EST By Sindh Today | Category: India

Bhubaneswar, Aug 20 (IANS) National Aluminum Co Ltd (Nalco) Wednesday cut its aluminium price by Rs.4,000 as the international price of the product has come down, a company official said.

“We have decreased the price by Rs.4,000 and it will be effective from today (Wednesday),” company chairman and managing director C.R. Pradhan told IANS.

‘Now the aluminium price per tonne would be Rs.136,000,” said Pradhan.

The price of aluminium is governed by the international market. The rate has been revised as its price has fallen on the London Metal Exchange (LME), he said.

Nalco is India’s second largest aluminium manufacturer.
