Shimla gets relief from chilly weather

Shimla, Nov 29 (IANS) Shimla got some relief from chilly weather Saturday, with the minimum temperature rising by three degrees Celsius, the meteorological office said.

The minimum temperature rose to 13 degrees Celsius against Friday’s 10 degrees, it said.

The minimum temperature in Shimla plummeted to 2.8 degrees Celsius Nov 20 after the season’s first snowfall in Kufri, just a half-hour drive from here.

At Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile, the temperature rose 2 degrees against Friday’s 8.5 degrees.

The popular tourist destination Manali too got some relief as the minimum temperature increased to 3.2 degrees Celsius against Friday’s 0.8 degrees.
