Opposition to Kashmir land tranfer cost heavy to congress: Advani

He was talking at his launching ceremony of his book ” My Country and My Life”. Kashmir has seen protest for almost eight days Which led to the death of three people and several injured.

Hardliner Syed Ali Geelani directing his armed struggle from the Srinagar Musjid has fooled the illiterate mob of Kashmiris like claiming the victory of the Kargil war. The bullet war in Kashmir can not be won as it could be by ballots the hardliners don’t believe in. Basically the public is being fooled by them by denying the facility for the pilgrimage, like tents and toilets called prefabricated structures for the shrine. We, for the information of who are not aware, provide in Pakistan all such facilities for Sikhs and Hindus even in Balochistan then why not in Kashmir. Recently Balochis have even objected to building a dam for it may cause damage to Hindu shrine, has been noted with respect for Balochis for being moderate and accommodating. The reversal of Amarnath land for the facilities is actually not a victory as the Hindus in Jammu are in Majority will have upper hand now. The hardliners have objected to the return of the native Pundits in Kashmir who were driven under terrorist threats. Now how can you have democratic and independent Kashmir without these people when it comes to ballots (elections) is argument lost. The economy of the Kashmir was recovering but now all tourists have disappeared. The hardliners should take note that the PPP government has not commented adversely, saying it is India’s internal affairs. On the contrary Mr. Zardari and Mr. Shariff have raised their voices at home and abroad about these hardliners taking India and Pakistan dialogue hostage will be NO MORE. The army has to be freed from Kashmir to deal with foreign terrorist in NWFP Afghanistan. We want to be counted as civilised and moderate not as terrorist here and abroad. For the sake of Pakistanis let us invest in our young people’s education, equal rights for women and improve our economy without begging bowl to have self respect. Invest in people not in military by having peace on our borders. We must keep away our youth from these vultures and let the investment flow to flourish the economy.
