Security will further beefed-up for Champions Trophy: Rehman Malik

KARACHI : Advisor to Prime Minister for Interior Rehman Malik while describing the security arrangements for ongoing 9th Cricket Asia Cup said it will be furthered improved and beefed-up for September Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
He told reporters during his visit to the National Stadium Karachi (NSK) during India teams batting in their Super Four round match along with Sindh Governor Dr.Ishrat-Ul-Ebad Khan.
He said if International Cricket Council (ICC) has any reservations or problems, Pakistan was ready to provide them security of highest level.
Rehman Malik said that during the visit of ICC President Ray Mali last month he was quite satisfied after the briefing of officials given to him in Islamabad for the Champions Trophy.
He expressed his full confidence that Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan as per schedule.
The matches of the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan from September 11 to 29 will held in major cities like Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi with 8-top teams in action during the event.
