    Pervez Musharraf must leave: Nawaz Sharif

    Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the ruling coalition has agreed to remove President Pervez Musharraf from power.Speaking Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of Pakistan’s first nuclear tests, Mr. Sharif said the widower of slain opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, agreed in talks on Tuesday to oust Musharraf.


    Lawyers’ March on June 10th

    Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) vowed to stage massive protests next week unless government meets all requirements by reinstating all judges including Iftikhar Muhammad Choudhry. The warning came after lawyers found no progress in restoration of Judges from either party in the government.

    A new government composed of some of his fiercest opponents took office six weeks ago and promised to reinstate the justices, casting doubt on Musharraf’s political survival.
