    Pakistan’s court barred Nawaz from contesting bye-elections

    LAHORE : The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday barred former prime minister Nawaz Sharif from taking part in the bye-elections. Bye-elections will be held on vacant seats on June 26 and Nawaz filed nomination papers to contest on a National Assembly seat from Lahore.


    Nawaz Sharif to contest election from NA-123

    Lahore, May 15 : An election tribunal on Thursday accepted the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif to contest election from NA-123.
    The tribunal also accepted the nomination papers of PML-N covering candidate Hamza Shahbaz, The News reported.

LAHORE : An election tribunal on Thursday accepted the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.

PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has filed nomination papers to contest by-election from NA-123, Lahore, while party president Shahbaz Sharif filed papers for PP-154.
