iPhone 3G: Google launches language translation service

Apple recently opened the doors for developers and companies by releasing the iPhone SDK. The iPhone SDK allows to develop the applications for the iPhone mobile platform.
The translation service started by Google is very similar to its web version, which is called Google Translate. The service support multiple languages including English, German, French and Chinese. Simple service requires only few selections, users just have to enter the text, select the “translate from” and “translate to” and hit the translate button.

Google allows their employees to use 20% of their work time to develop any project of their choice. Interestingly, The iPhone language translating service was developed by Google developer Allen Hutchison out of that 20% time.
