Google Gains Search Share, Microsoft and Yahoo Lose

According to ComScore Inc, Google U.S search share increased in July while Microsoft and Yahoo’s share was slightly reduced. There were 11.8 billion search queries in July which was 2% increase from last month.

The search has only benefited the Google whose share was rose to 61.9 percent from 61.5 percent in June. Yahoo share shrank to 20.5 percent from 20.9 percent and while, Microsoft on the third place only got 8.9 percent from 9.2 in June.
Other search engines like Ask.com’s search share was improved to 4.5 percent from 4.3 percent and Time Warner Inc’s AOL caputured 4.2 percent of searches, increased from 4.1 percent in June.

Only five major search engines were considered for ComScore report. Along with search engines, Partner searches and cross-channel searches were also part of ComScore reporting. It (ComScore report) excludes mapping, local directory and user-generated video sites.
On the separate note that US online ad sales would be  reduced this year as predicted by Analysts. It will make it the first decline in five years.
