Russian rocket fires 6 US telecom satellites into orbit: Report

MOSCOW : A Russian rocket launched six US telecoms satellites into orbit from a missile base in the south of the country on Thursday, news agencies reported.
“The apparatuses have been put into orbit,” Interfax news agency quoted an official in the strategic rocket forces as saying.
The Cosmos-3M rocket took off from the Kapustin Yar launch site with a payload of 1.07 tonnes, the news agency said. AFP (Agence France-Presse), 2008
