Apple iTunes tops in music sales as Amazon improves

Apple once again becomes #1 in the retail music market in the US. Walmart followed so closely at the second place, According to the newly Music survey by NPD Group.
The surprisingly Amazon beat Target with 3rd spot due to its huge sale of music Cds on it website. Best Buy and Target came fourth and fifth spot respectively. The result shows that Apple took first spot second straight time in the NPD Studies.
According to NPD Group analyst Ross Crupnick, “We expect Apple will consolidate its lead in the retail music market, as CD sales continue to slow,” The firm also sees potential in Amazon as they recently launched its own DRM-free music store.
