Cairo, June 21 (IANS) Archaeologists have found a 3,500-year-old Egyptian town buried under the earth in the country’s northeastern region of the Nile delta.
The city, discovered by a team of Austrian archaeologists in Tell El-Dab’a, is likely to be Avaris, the capital of Hyksos rulers who ruled Egypt from 1664 B.C. to 1569 B.C., Egyptian Cultural Minister Farouk Hosni was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
Riyadh, June 21 (IANS) At least 10 Pakistani pilgrims were killed and 25 injured when the bus in which they were travelling from Mecca to Medina turned turtle, a media report said.
The accident occurred near Khulais, 150 km from Mecca. Eight passengers died on the spot, while one died on the way to hospital and another after reaching there, Xinhua reported citing an Arab News report Sunday.
